Building A Sustainable American Supply of Synthetic Graphite
The Problem
US companies require thousands of tons of synthetic graphite yearly, but currently depend on expensive, unstable foreign suppliers.
The Solution
The "Graphitizer" - created at the University of California, Riverside's Mechanical Engineering Department and exclusively optioned by Cerebral Energy - rapidly transforms low-grade carbon waste into highly crystalline synthetic graphite. By deploying Graphitizer units nationwide, we will: recycle US carbon waste into an affordable critical material, establish a reliable domestic graphite supply, and reduce dependence on foreign sources while reducing the carbon footprint of synthetic graphite processing.
Aqueous Recycling of Rare Earth Magnets, Elements and Critical Minerals
Cerebral has exclusively optioned patented mechanochemical technologies developed at the Critical Materials Innovation Hub headquartered at Ames National Laboratory. The acid-free, solvent-free ambient air process efficiently (over 95%) recovers lithium, rare earth elements, and other critical metals from spent batteries, e-waste, and magnets. Cerebral plans to utilize these recycled materials in its own line of batteries and supply them to other US manufacturers seeking to decrease dependence on foreign-mined critical materials. By sourcing domestically recycled lithium, cobalt, nickel, and rare earths, US battery producers can strengthen domestic supply chains and accelerate the transition to a circular American economy.
